Dzogchen Teaching or Great Perfection is the path leading to attainment of Buddhahood in one lifetime. The uniqueness of the Dzogchen Teaching is the Direct Introduction or Direct Transmission by the Teacher, and it has been passed down in an unbroken lineage through the centuries. Khenpo Geshe Rinchen Tenzin Rinpoche is the disciple of His Holiness Kyabje Menri Trizin Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche, world spiritual leader of Yungdrung Bon tradition, abbot of the Menri Monastery (1969-2017), holder of Dzogchen lineage of Yungdrung Bon, who entered Nirvana on September 14th, 2017.

According to Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra, transmission of knowledge requires the conjunction of Five Perfect Conditions: the Teacher who has the knowledge, the Disciple who has the pure intent and high capabilities, the Teaching, the Time and the Place. The goal of the Pure Lands Project is to make the transmission of the Teaching available to all. The Tantra ans Dzogchen School was established with this goal in mind, being the retreat program developed in accordance with the monastic tradition Yundrung Bon.

As part of the Pure Lands Project, the construction of a big retreat center has been launched. This retreat center will maintain the traditions of a classical Tibetan monastery and will be perfectly fit for collective practices under the Teacher’s guidance as well as for personal retreats.

In modern world money issues may become big obstacles on a spiritual path. The Pure Lands Charity Foundation has been set up to support those who would like to dedicate more time to practice but cannot afford it.
